Karen Valentin grew up like many Hispanic American Christians—attempting to balance their unique cultural, social, and spiritual identities as Americans, as Latinos, and as Christians.

The Flavor of Our Hispanic Faith is a spiritual journey that celebrates the unique Hispanic American experience. A warm and honest celebration of family, culture, and faith, each reflection begins with a Scripture and concludes with a prayer. These stories embody values learned and challenges faced by first- , second- , and third-generation Hispanic Americans as they embrace the culture in which they live without losing the rich traditions of their heritage.

"I invite you to this feast of reflections, and whether the taste is familiar and reaffirming or exotic and new, I hope The Flavor of Our Hispanic Faith helps you 'Taste and see that the Lord is Good.'(Psalm 34:8)" —from the Introduction
